Messaging app Telegram has released a new update, which introduces a number of video-focused additions to the app. The highlight of the update is the option to add 1,000 people on a video call, upgraded Video Messages, and the ability to adjust the video playback speed.
Here are giving you all the key updates in the Telegram app:
Group Video Call 2.0
Group Video Call can be called the most exciting update. It allows users to add 1000 people on a video call. However, the number of broadcasters is kept steady at 30. This means 970 people won’t be actually sharing their video on call.
Video Message 2.O
Another feature called Video Messages 2.0 will let people record a video message in high resolution. This feature also includes the option to fast forward or rewind the video message. To record a video message you need to long-pressing the mic icon to turn a voice message into a video message.
One-on-one Screen Sharing
Telegram has also added a Screen sharing option to 1-on-1 calls, and now includes the sound from your device when broadcasting in any video call.
You can share your screen during a video call by tapping the camera button and choosing your screen as the video source.
Media Player Playback Speed
Media Player playback speed: Messaging app’s media player now supports 0.5x, 1.5x, and 2x playback speeds. Speed of 0.2x is also supported on Android. It also lets users jump to different timestamps of a video to share the link of the exact time that needs to be shared.
There’s the new option of auto-deletion of messages after a month in along with options to the auto-deletion of messages after a day or week.
Drawing and Images Features
The new update allows users to draw more precisely and add fine details in pictures. The width of the drawing brush now decreases on zoom in – giving you the precision of a professional. The width of the brush can be changed at any time by dragging the dot up from the color selector.
Other Important Updates
The Telegram Desktop app has added its own photo editor to crop, rotate or flip images – and add drawings or stickers.
The messaging app also added new passcode animations and password recovery reminders.
Other noteworthy features include message sending animations on Android, a new in-app camera on iOS, the option to choose multiple recipients on iOS, new animated emoji (also on iOS), and more.
